Yes. When attached to a compatible hand truck, the ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher becomes a snow pusher on wheels. The hand truck provides the wheels, handle, and leverage, while the ClearPlow^® attachment provides the wide snow-pushing blade.

The ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher is designed to push, move, and flick snow rather than repeatedly lift and throw it like a conventional snow shovel. By using the hand truck’s wheels and leverage, you can flick snow upward to build and stack a pile along the edge of a driveway, typically up to 2 to 3 feet high, depending on snow conditions and technique. For best results, push snow in manageable passes toward the edge of the driveway, taking smaller bites in deeper or heavier snow.

The ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher works best when you take manageable-width passes based on snow depth, snow weight, and your comfort level. In deeper or wet snow, make narrower passes rather than trying to move the full blade width at once. If the snow becomes too heavy or deep for you to push comfortably, use a snowblower or contact a local snow-removal professional to clear your driveway. In our experience, about 6 inches of heavy, wet snow is a practical, common-sense limit for this tool. Lighter, powdery snow may be manageable at greater depths, depending on conditions, the size of each pass, and the user’s age, health, and physical condition. Always push only what you can comfortably handle.

Choose the 24-inch ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher if you prefer a lighter, more manageable pass or are clearing narrower walks. The 36-inch model moves more snow per pass and is a good choice for wider sidewalks and driveways, but it requires more strength when pushing a full-width load.

Even with the 36-inch model, you can take smaller-width “bites” to reduce spillover. Choose the width that best fits your strength, the width of the areas you plan to clear, and your typical snow conditions.

We offer a lighter-duty homeowner version (clear) and a heavy-duty commercial version (HD-Commercial, white). Both are excellent tools, and each is designed for a different environment.

The homeowner version works well for typical residential snow clearing around the home.

Our HD-Commercial version is designed for the rigors of contractor and commercial use. Its UHMW construction remains durable in extreme cold and does not become brittle until −240°F. If you regularly push snow in subzero temperatures, we recommend the HD-Commercial version over the homeowner version.

We offer ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher models for hand trucks with either a 14-inch-wide or 18-inch-wide lift plate. These are two separate products.

These two sizes are not interchangeable.  An 18-inch-wide snow pusher can slide over a 14-inch-wide lift plate, but it will not secure properly.

If your hand truck has a lift plate width other than the two sizes we offer, please contact us and we'll try to accommodate your particular hand truck model.

The hand truck we like best is the red model shown in most of our videos. We like its rounded top, D-handle, and 10-inch pneumatic tires. Pneumatic tires require occasional inflation, especially as the seasons change. If you prefer not to maintain air-filled tires, choose a hand truck with solid tires.

This model is available at most big-box stores near you.  Here are the hand truck styles we recommend for use with our products.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Most newer hand trucks come with 10-inch tires. This tire size provides a little more height and, in our opinion, works best.

When clearing an average-sized driveway, the cutting edge should last several seasons before it needs to be replaced.  Extra cutting edges are available as an option during checkout when you purchase our snow pusher.

As an added bonus, attaching the extra cutting edge to the existing cutting edge will help your ClearPlow^® Snow & Leaf Pusher float across the lawn when pushing leaves.  For best results, remove the extra cutting edge before pushing snow.

Use a clean, grit-free cloth or sponge with lukewarm water and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly. Do not use window cleaner or any other chemicals. We provide complete details in our User Manual.

Once the leaf and snow seasons are over, here are a few tips for storing your ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher:

1. Remove the snow pusher attachment from the hand truck.
2. Wash it as described in our User Manual.  Do not use window cleaner or other chemicals.  Use a clean, grit-free cloth, lukewarm water, mild soap, and rinse thoroughly.
3. Inspect your cutting edge, replace it if necessary.
4. Add a single drop of light machine oil to the threads in each handle and run the bolts through. Wipe off any excess. If you get the oil on the clear plastic, wipe it off using a clean cloth with mild soap and water.
5. Keep all of the hardware attached to the snow pusher, leaving the handles slightly loose to allow the plastic to expand and contract.
6. Stand the ClearPlow^® Snow Pusher on its end in a clean, dry space.
7. Do not place it in standing water.
8. Do not store in an area of extreme heat.
9. Do not place it in direct sunlight, as the ultraviolet light can degrade the plastic.
