Frequently Asked Questions
We provide detailed written instructions in our User Manual. We also show how to attach our products to a hand truck here in this video.
Yes we do. We offer a 2-year limited warranty on our products, except for the cutting edges (wear edges). View our complete warranty here.
The homeowner version will work fine around your home.
Our HD-Commercial version has been developed to withstand the rigors of contractor and commercial use. The commercial version is made to withstand extreme cold temps (-240°), so if you are pushing snow in sub zero temperatures, we recommend our commercial version over the homeowner version.
It depends upon your strength, and the width of your walks. Pushing 36" of snow requires a bit more strength than pushing 24". That said, after you make your first push with the 36" width model, you can take smaller-width 'bites'. If you're clearing a driveway, we like the 36" width model. However, choose the version that will work best for you and your application.
We offer snow pushers to fit either a 14" width lift plate, or an 18" width lift plate.
These two sizes are not interchangeable. An 18" width snow pusher will slide over a 14" width lift plate, but it will NOT secure properly.
Measure your hand truck's lift plate to make sure you select the correct model. Click here for instructions on measuring your hand truck's lift plate.
If you have a different width lift plate than the two sizes we offer, please contact us and we'll try to accommodate your model hand truck.
The hand truck we like best is the red one seen in most of our videos. We like the rounded top, the 'D' handle, and the 10" air tires. Air tires require occasional inflation especially as the seasons change, so if you don't like that, you'll want to go with a solid tire model. The red one we like, is made in the USA and is available at most big box stores near you. Here are the hand truck styles we recommend be used with our products. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Yes we do. They're available for purchase here.
Clearing an average sized driveway, you should get several seasons before the cutting edge needs to be replaced. Extra cutting edges are available as an option during checkout when you purchase our snow pusher.
As an added bonus, attaching the extra cutting edge to the existing cutting edge will help your ClearPlow® Pusher float across the lawn when pushing leaves. For best results, remove this extra cutting edge before trying to push snow.
If you'd like instructions on how to attach the extra edge for leave pushing, please contact us and we'll be happy to email them to you. Here's a video showing bulk leaves being easily pushed out to the curb.
We provide helpful tips in our User Manual. We also provide helpful tips in this video, along with other videos here on our website, or on our YouTube channel.
Use a clean grit free cloth or sponge, lukewarm water, mild soap, and rinse. Do not use window cleaner or any other chemicals. We provide complete details in our User Manual.
Once the leaf & snow seasons are over, here are a few tips for storage of your ClearPlow® Snow & Leaf Pusher:
- Remove your snow pusher from your hand truck.
- Wash it as described in our User Manual. Do not use window cleaner or other chemicals. Use a clean cloth, lukewarm water, mild soap, and rinse.
- Inspect your cutting edge, replace if necessary.
- Add a few drops of light machine oil to the threads in each handle and run the bolts through to ensure the threads are lubed.
- Keep all of the hardware attached to the snow pusher, leaving the handles slightly loose to allow the plastic to expand and contract.
- Stand your ClearPlow® pusher on it's end in a clean, dry space.
- Do not place it in standing water.
- Do not store in an area of extreme heat.
- Do not place it in direct sunlight, as the ultraviolet light can degrade the plastic.
